的 monthly basic service charge covers the cost of maintaining your electric meter and the wires that bring electrical service to your home or business. 的 basic service charge also covers the cost of maintaining customer records, accounting for bill payments, credit and other transactions affecting your account. 的 basic service charge is incurred even if electricity is not used during the month.

的 monthly energy charge includes base rates, 保护, environmental and capacity cost recovery charges for residential and small commercial customers. Base rates make up the Energy Charge for large commercial and industrial customers, and all other charges are listed separately on the billing statement.

的 monthly fuel charge is the cost of fuel used to produce your electricity. 燃料 costs are passed through from fuel suppliers to our customers with no markup or profit to 坦帕电.

的 风暴的保护 Plan charge supports work to strengthen our electrical infrastructure that delivers power to your home or business. 的se investments will help minimize power outages and reduce power restoration time.

的 风暴附加费 is a temporary storm surcharge to collect storm restoration costs that we already incurred.

的 Clean Energy Transition Mechanism Charge collects the remaining unrecovered costs for certain assets being retired over 15 years. This is a levelized charge that benefits all customers through increased rate certainty and supports the company's efforts to reduce emissions by replacing aging coal-fired generation with clean-burning natural gas and zero fuel solar generation. It also supports the replacement of retired meters with an Advanced Metering Infrastructure, which will provide customer benefits such as automated disconnection and reconnection (without a service visit) and associated lower service charges, as well as providing customers with greater access to their usage data in the future.

的 charges below appear on a residential electric bill and are effective January 1, 2024.
